All of the points are 500. They start out at the usual 2500 but after they are bumped they are 500. I'm so frustrated at this point I just don't know what to do. This happened to me once before right after I got this new computer with vista. If any body knows anything about this, I would appreciate any kind of help. Thank you everyone! Hugs, Kris

Hi Kris! I'm sorry you are having this trouble. This does happen from time to time. Someone once thought their player had been hacked, but that is not what is going on. Try removing your MY file and rebooting your computer, then go offline and put in one of your zips and see if they are still at the 10K we save them at and let me know what you find out. Karma Hug for you difficulties.

HI Marilyn, this happend to me once before right after I got my new computer and I didn't remember how I fixed it. But after posting this I opened up my MTE game and it was fixed by itself. So weird. When it firsted happened this time I got so bummed out that I just closed everything down for a day or so and now it works. Besides, yesterday I was suffering from a migrain and was down for the day. Today It seems to be coming back so I think I will probably head for bed soon after I take some meds. Thanx for the reply. And I'll see ya onlline soon I hope. Take care! Hugs, Kris

After the last post on this subject, I had the same problem happen a few more times and the last time it happened I could not get it back and I also could not use my previous templates. I finally figured out what the problem was and I fixed it once and for all and now my player and game is working as before. If anyone else has a problem with it then let me know and I will try to help you through it using what I did. Thank you so much Marilyn for caring about all of us players, you are totally sweet and awsome! Hugs, Kris Karma hug to you Marilyn!!!

Kris! If you'd care to share what you did, that would be great. I did hear from another player today that she launched a LO, it showed as 10,000 on the BFG server, but was only at 500 in her game. She just got a new puter with Vista on it. So if you have time to type out what you did to correct your problem, others may be able to learn from it. Karma Hug right back at cha!!!

Hi Marilyn, I'm having a fibro fog moment and coming up with a blank at this point. I know that it happened several times. I also had other problems as well like not being able to use my templates for lo's. I did a number of things. I think what fixed the 500 point problem was that I went back to my last saved player file. I save my player file each day. But in order for that to work I had to do the following: Control Panal User Accounts and Family Safety User Accounts Turn User Account Control On or Off Then, uncheck the little box that says, "Use User Account Contol (UAC) To Help Protect Your Computer." Click Ok And then I think you will have to restart your computer. Since then, I have had no problems at all!!! I hope this makes sense and helps others because I know it is very frustrating. I wish I would have written down exactly what it was that I did for sure because sometimes with the Fibro fog I have a hard time remembering details. AAAAggggghhh!!! Hugs, Kris

I am a new Vista user to the game. Just wanted to share my experience. In Vista there are two places to put your player file in the game. Not knowing this I did it like I do in windows xp...left click on MTE icon and find target. Copy in the player file and template layout my file. I did the same thing in Vista with my player file however when I went to put in the my file the player file wasn't there, so I put it in again along with the my file. Then I opened the game, launched a layout and bumped it, the points went to 500. Finally after trying a few things I exited the game deleted the player, yes I always have a backup and went back into the game to find my player and los were still in there. I thought that`s weird where is it. Then I started searching for the other player file which was impossible to find. I searched by different names of items in the game when finally came across a file VirtualStore Program Files (x86) Oberon Media and there was Mahjong Towers Eternity folder and my player file. My game is from Pogo. I copied my player file and my file (lo template). Opened the game and checked the points of other players layouts and the points were there so decided to try a launch again. This time all the points went to 10,000 and I have had no problems with a launch since. I have bookmarked this location to my desktop because I have no idea how to find it again, but now I don`t have to. Just wanted to share my experience.
Karma hug to you Kris and thanks for all of your many layouts you share with all of us!

Hi BarbAnn, I'm glad you fixed your problem. I have my game through BigFish games so it is a little different. When Marilyn did the fix for me and I tried to put it into the game by right clicking on the MTE icon on the desktop, it didn't work that way. I had to find the player files by going through my computer and then programs. When I did it that way, it worked. but then I had nothing but problems until I did what I typed in my last post. Now everything has been working smoothly! This 500 thing happened to me when I first got my new computer with the vista. I think what I did back then was deleting and reinstalling MTE. I just have it on a disk so it wasn't that much of a deal. But that fixed it back then. This last time, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. After it happend the first time, it didn't do it again until after the fix. And then it happend like 4 times. One of those times I was upset and fed up so I just backed out of the game and went to bed. I didn't check for a day or two and when I opened the game back up it had fixed itself. The next time it happened which was a few days later, I tried the same thing but it didn't work and that is when I messed around and fixed it for good (I hope)! Good luck to you and I hope you don't have any more problems with MTE or Vista! Hugs, Kris And a Karma hug back to you!

Hi Mieke,
I'm inclined to agree with you, i dont have Vista but i do have a number of Usb External drives in use for allsorts as our kids download heaps of stuff often - 1 for photos, 1 for music, 1 for backup & bits & pieces, 1 for games, 1 for MTE of course (i even download my zip files straight from email 2 it, so no zip clutter in my puter at all) & 1 for all my stuff i download. The drives can be short cutted to the desktop for very easy access & they can be renamed as to wot thr for. They are a bonus for any computer & saves alot of disk space on yr puter as the installation of things are on totally different drives & the drives come in a good range of different sizes so 1 may be all you need.
Vista people - try thm - thr grt
Karma hug for you Mieke for pointing these out

Hi Mieke and Fiona! What a great idea!!! To just put everything on different jump drives! I back up to a jump drive but had never thought of actually storing different stuff on different drives. I started to write this about 3 hours ago and the inlaws arrived. ;D

Wow.. that is a GREAT idea Fiona and Mieke! My game never works quite right and I like the idea of using a jump drive thingie.. is it hard to hook up? I am one of those computer dummies and any help is appreciated!! Do you have your actual MTE game loaded on the external drive?

Howdy there Tia! It is really easy, about the size of a small cigarette lighter and you just plug it in and pull it out. Even I can do it. ;D Perhaps I'll show you one in about a month
