Building:I'd lose my LOs quite often when building larger LOs. I was taught to follow the following guidelines: *Close out of the game before you start, so if you have been playing, you will not risk losing any points earned. *Don't build to the 20th layer *Try not to build to the top row *Once you have built you LO to 15 layers, save the LO before you go down below the 15th layer to edit, or your game could freeze on you and you would lose the LO and the progress on it and you would have to start over. Solving: Your guess is probably better than mine! Back track, back track, back track Have Xanax nearby if possible ;D Relax and have fun As you all come up with MUCH BETTER tips than I have I will be happy to add them to the above so we can kinda have the tips in one central area for new members. Hugs to you all!

Personally I find it much easier, though it takes a while to get used to seeing a mass of tiles in front of you, to play the bigger layouts in Classic mode - it seems to be easier to track your moves using that mode rather than just seeing single tiles pop up as in speed, but it is what suits the individual player and having fun playing is the main thing As well as tilesets made specially for me (ie simple designs, by Duaine and Maddy) I use the alphabet set that came with the game - it is hilarious sometimes the words that the letters can spell when the layouts are played

Chrissie! Thanks for the tips on the tileset and what works best for you in playing the larger LOs. I agree, the tileset makes a BIG different for me. Karma Hug to you for the tip! Because of my eyes and migraines, I have to play the larger ones in Speed Mode. I'd love to play the larger ones in Classic so I could "plot" out my next moves. I think I've finally figured out why classic hurts so much, is there are too many tiles for my eyes to try and focus on, darting around looking for matching tiles, so with Speed Mode, there are less choices at once, so it hurts my eyes less and thereby not making the migraine too much worse. There are days tho that even speed mode is too much for my ole eyes & migraine. So you are right, whatever works best for each individual player. Karma Hug to you!

I too play in speed mode as it is easier on the eyes, whatever works In solving the bigger layous I look at the number of rows in layout and try to play from the top first, clearing those ones first. If three tiles matching come up I will play the other matches of two first and hope a fourth one comes up. Usually it does, if not I will back track seeing what clears. Hope that all makes sense. Sometimes you just get lucky!

Most often just point and click works cos backtracking is not in my repertoire

Good tips Barb Ann and Chrissie! I use both methods that you each talk about. Like Barb Ann does, if there are three, clear all hoping for a 4th and like Chrissie point and click. I'm not all for backtracking but after I try what I consider alot, I'll break down and backtrack. It seems sometimes just clicking off the tiles in a different order than before helps to mix it up enough to get it done. But then I don't finish that many of the really hard ones, so what do I know? ;D Karma Hugs to you both! Thanks again!
