Hi All, Does anyone know of a good music converter to convert .mp3's to .swa's? Getting tired of the same old music, and I have a ton of music I could create and share. I posted this in the wrong place... Deleted and moved here. ;D Mikey

Hi Mikey! Again, to the forum. I don't have any clues about .mp3's. Can you add music to your MTE game I have never tried to do that, it would be great if you could share with us how to do that. so much.

Hi Mikey Grt to see you here In answer to yr question - i dont know that ya can convert mp3's to swa's - been browsing the net in relation to being able to do so & havnt come across anything for it Marilyn - in answer to yr question - Yes u can play yr own music in Mte - the format of the files must be mp3's to be able to do so Do exactly the same as you would as if you are going to save yr player file - For others - right clik Mte game icon, clik properties, clik find target Double clik the assets folder, double clik the audio folder - the swa files you see in here are the Mte Music files If you have yr own mp3 music files on yr computer you can copy & paste thm into this folder - if you dont want the swa files to play you can make a new folder in here & drag the swa files into it &/or move the folder to another location so you only have yr own music only in the audio folder - (dont delete thm - if you do you wont have thm to put back in at a later time) When done, close all windows & open yr game - yr own music will play at the game screen & wen you play yr lo's Thr is 1 prob tho - especially if yr a speedy player - as you play & move to the next layout you are only going to get to hear any song for as long as it takes you to do the lo eg: 8 - 10 seconds Therefore playing yr own sounds is really only more beneficial for playing big layouts - at least thn you will probably hear the whole song

Whoa, what a fiasco!! LOL I was looking for some conversion software and ran across a file I thought was Boomer, a very cool tool that you can convert mp3's into swa's. It turns out it was the virus winupgro in disguise. I just finished eradicating the little bugger. What a mess. Anyhow, I looked a little more after I fixed my bug problem and, just to try it, I fired a song up an mp3 in Windows Media Player. I then saved as .swa, and pasted it into the assets\audio folder. It worked! No conversion necessary with mp3's I guess. Spazza is right though...usual time for completion is around 10 seconds or less for the quick lay outs, so it might not be worth it to people who do not play the larger puzzles. On the other hand, those who do might find this to be a great thing. Mikey

Hey Mikey, Which Media Player version do you have? I'm probably abit behind the times here i think i'm still stuck in version 9! Put some mp3's - everything from Enigma to Lynyrd Skynyrd - into me audio in the game - deleted a few wen they were abit slow to take off - but the ones i got in thr sound good for the wee lo's - so thort i'd makem into .swa files but that type of file dont exist in the Windows Media Player i got running on me puter In the end i give up & played the whole lot with me Media Player running wile i was playn Mte & WOOHOO dam near hada party all on me own

The game uses shockwave to play the music files. I have Media Player 11, and I think you might be able to get an upgrade if you wanted one. Here's the link... **http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/** The original files I was using were mp3's. I suppose if you just copy them to the folder \assets\audio and then rename so the file extension is 'song name.swa', it would work as well. There are many different music cropping, or music editors you can use to shorten them up, take out a guitar riff, or what ever you would like to do. Neosound FX is a freeware program Advanced mp3 Cutter is shareware program meaning trial, and then if you like it, buy it for about $15 I haven't tried either of these, so try them at your own risk. You know how that old saying goes...you get what you pay for. Though I have used many freeware programs that are dynamite. One more thing, I have another thread going on this subject with a couple of shares you can download if you like. Here it is... mtehelpfulhugs.proboards85.com/index.cgi?board=fun&action=display&thread=1661Mikey
