Hi there Nikkii! Do you keep track of you playerS file size KB's between stars? That is the best way for me to tell when I should be getting my next star. It usually runs anywhere from 12 (if lucky) to 16 KBs in playerS file size growth between stars depending on the point value of the layouts I am playing. Also, another thing to check is to be sure you have not accidentally put in an old player back up. Let us know what you find out. Karma Hug for you frustrations, it is so frustrating when you are waiting to get that next star.

I did an experiment over the past two days. Traditionally it has taken about 15kbs to move up an entire star but I would move up ranks depending on which players were above me...for example, if the players on that star no longer play I'd move through the star quicker. I generally play offline and every 4th or 5th set I'd play all but 3-4 layouts then go online. When I went online I generally had enought time to play those 3-4 LO's before their point value went down from 10K. I have done this 4 times now and each time the points in those reserved LO's have dropped down IMMEDIATELY. I think this suggests that my offline points are not being pushed onto the server. I'm still on the 34th star and have not moved up to 35 despite having added 16kbs to my players file. The other thing I have noticed that when I click to get to the star list it takes practically no time for the list to appear...I used to have time to go get a drink refill!
My only thought is the BFG administrators have made an adjustment to discourage playing offline...it would eliminate the "grabber" issues and would also eliminate sharing zips as those points would be automatically reduced.
I'm curious about this condition.

Hi BJ! Good to see you! I've not done a long stretch of offliine play for a while, the last time I did, was for a week while on vacation last July and I did move up 4 stars. Sometimes in does take more to get that next star. I don't know if BFG has made an adjustment. I'll try to find some time to play a star offline and see what it takes. Traditionally, if your times show in your MY TIMES in your game, your points counted whether the points were showing on the BFG server or not. If you have played 16KB of 10K layouts, then your next star should be here anytime. If they were lower in point value, then of couse it will take more. But, if they have made changes to the game, then who knows. So I'll see if I can find time to give it a go. Karma Hug to ya dear!

I'm not particularly worried about my times showing up...I'm slow! I've been playing online today on and off and I've been moving up within the 34 star step. Anything you can figure out would be much appreciated!

oh also...I only play LO's at 10K, rarely 9K so that is not part of the problem.

Hi ZELDA,
I mainly play OFF LINE these days, in an attempt to avoid confrontation. etc. I also keep tag on my points etc as I go. I know that once I have done 12k in the players file I will be close to getting another star. After playing OFF LINE, I go ONLINE and make two layouts. I SHARE these two layouts and BUMP THEM After that, I play THEM IMMEDIATELY. This had always kicked over my position on the HALL OF FAME PLAYERS LIST. You would have seen some of my "silly layouts" such as 1 x 2 x 4 = 8, 1 x 2 x 5 = 10. These are just to check my position and ensure I am still climbing the STARS CHART.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. Feel free to drop me an email if you wish.
BIG HUGS TO YOU BETTY!
TERRY

Maybe that is the solution...I had been just waiting to play the last couple lo's in a set and that worked...but I'll try the making a LO then playing it! I did make it to 35* today.... Thanks for the suggestions Terry and Marilyn!
