BACK UP PLAYER FILE:
To me, this is about the most important thing a player needs to learn to do and to do on a regular basis, I back up my player file after each play session.
There have been times when players have opened their game and found their player name gone. Or their game crashes on them, or they need to reinstall the game. There are NUMEROUS reasons why this is the most important thing to learn to do in the game. If for any reason you lose your game, the ONLY way to get your original player name back and all the points/ranks you have earned, is if you have backed up your player file/folder so that you have your player file/folder to put back into the game. It is the ONLY way to insure you do not lose it. I can't emphasize enough how important this is. Soooooooooooooo, let's do it!
Let me know if you have any questions.
BACK UP INSTRUCTIONS VIA THE GAME ICON:
(This looks like a Mahjong Tile, it is NOT the BFG icon with the fish on it)
1: Right click on your game icon on your desktop
2: Click on Properties
3: Click on Find Target
4: Right Click on your Player file
5: Select "Send to" (in the middle of the screen that pops up and there is a little arrow)
6: Click on My documents
You should now have a copy of your player file in your MY DOCUMENTS folder.
I also copy my Player file to a external source, I copy the player file to the drive that holds either my CD drive or Jump Drive.
I copy to a external source so if my whole computer crashes I still have a copy of my Player file to put back on my computer when it gets back up and running. And a third way of backing it up is to zip the file and email it to yourself and you then have it saved in your email.
