HOW TO PUT YOUR PLAYER FILE INTO YOUR GAME: ALWAYS BACK UP ANY CURRENT PLAYER FILE YOU HAVE PRIOR TO DOING THIS! Here are your instructions:
1: If your player file is zipped, you either need to double click the zipped file to open it, or right click on the zipped file and select extract all. 2: right click on your player file back-up and select "copy" Leave this window open for now. 3: Go to your game tile Icon and right click on it and select "Properties" 3: then selcect find target, then 4: right click anywhere in the file, not on an icon and select "paste" 5: You'll be told there is already a folder named player (if you have one already in the game) and if you still want to copy the folder, click on "Yes to All" 6: Then close the window and open your game and you should be fine. If for some reason the player does not copy over your player file, then delete the current player file that is in the folder, you will then be able to do paste the copy of your player file without having to overwrite a player file.

OK, now I am having the oddest of problems. I am attempting to put my extra player into my BFG 1.2 game and.....all the file numbers are there for the correct player BUT (here is the really good part).....when I open the game the "old" player is there!! Gets even better.....I deleted the player folder entirely and opened the game.....(here ya go) the old player was in there. I have Vista Ultimate and with my other download of 1.2 have not had any issues. The problem download is BFG....my nice download is Oberon Media POGO! I have read all the stuff posted....any one have an idea? Please PM if you do.....I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks bunches, ;D

Sorry you are having trouble with your game Tina Marie! Is Vista Ultimate different than Vista? If so, you may need to contact BFG or ask that wonderful hubby of yours. If you don't mind, when you do find out what is causing the problem, if you could share with the rest of the class so we can all learn from it, that would be great!! Karma Hug for your troubles.

Hi M, Visa Ultimate has a few added "features" but nothing that would cause this issue. I will certainly let you all know what it is (probably me LOL) should this issue be solved. We have a couple "hunches" and hubby is going to follow through too. He is however out of town from this evening till Friday evening so it might not be right away. I am going to continue to trudge through the issues. I now do not have ANY player in that download.....but all the files and folders are there....LOL!! Wants me to make a "new" player!?! This is the 1st issue I have had with Vista - if it really is Vista.

Mystery solved....thank you hubby!! I read tons of info on the forums and some made sense and putting 2 and 2 together through trial and error....several errors LOL we solved this. I have read some things about Virtual Store but also had been told if I had ONLY one user....which I do Virtual Store would NOT come into play. Wrong...I have it and therefore my 2 downloads of 1.2 for whatever reason work differently. No explanation for that one. But, I now can get a different player into my BFG 1.2 download and here is how. This again is for VISTA! Open Computer Open Local C Drive Open Users Open Tina (of course yours would have YOUR name - not Tina) Open AppData Open Local Open VirtualStore Open Program Files You should see your Mahjong game folder ie: Mahjong Towers Eternity 1.2 is how mine is shown. Right click on the game folder to change your player. Also, to place layout templates.....you would open the folder named Mahjong Towers Eternity 1.2 (again this is how mine is named) and you will see player. Right click on player and paste. Now, your layout templates are in this game. I appreciate the posts mentioning VirtualStore and thank you again Hubby for taking the time to dig with me. I am stumped as to why my Pogo download works the "old" XP way as both are checked for compatibility to XP?? Not going to worry about that one for now....it works!! Now, we are off for the airport. Hope this helps. Tried to make it short and sweet on the instructions.
