you guys, this is FASCINATING! If someone woulda told me this could be done, I never woulda believed it! Fi I have to admit I'm kinda afraid to try it. Yup, scared kitty cat here. ;D I guess I'm afraid my pez brain would not be able to figure it out. But knowing me, my curiosity is going to eventually get to me and I'm going to have to give it a go. I know if I were still into daily speedie playing, I'd already have tried it. Mikey, as far as if this is cheating, it's all in how you view things. Some still think that zip file sharing is cheating. So it's all in what you want to accomplish. It's a game. I would say there are some that would definitely say this is cheating, again referring back to some that think zip sharing is cheating. I'll never forget when someone at another forum had thanked me for sending them a zip file of 30 10K LOs cause she had missed out on my launch so I wanted to give them to her as a gift. The ruckus it caused was amazing. We wanted to crawl under a rock and that was just 30 10K Layouts. I thought nothing of it, thought it was sad she had missed out so thought I'd share, now look at what we all do with the zips and don't blink an eye to it. Soooooooooo it is totally in the eye of the beholder and what YOU are trying to accomplish. If it were causing someone to lose money or something like that it may be different, but as I said, it's a game, so it just depends on how the player wants to play it and this is just another way of playing the game. I would say, without a doubt there WILL be those that say this IS cheating. Just like some, still to this day, think the sharing of zips is sharing. It's why I started the Unmasking Zip Sharing thread I was kinda tired of everyone having to think they had to keep it a big secret if you sent or accepted zip files for others to play. Soooooooooo, I don't think I gave you a "straight" answer to your question, just my usual, "food for thought" crap. ;D

Some more tips for the MacroMaker program. You can clean up or streamline the recording of the mouse movements to make you macro perform a little better. Just edit the recorded portion, and remove or delete unwanted movements. For example, if the point moves before the first click, just remove all except the first two movements before the click command. Same thing for the last click, just remove the movements after the last click command. Don't forget to save when you make changes. On the macro side, you can adjust the speed that your macro executes to fine tune it. Just edit, double click on the RECORDING PLAYBACK command within the macro, and the time settings are in the pop up box that appears. You can also adjust the amount of times you wish the macro to execute, or change the hot key to run the macro. Again, don't forget to save. CTRL-Esc shuts down the macro CTRL Break stops recording (Mouse clicks) Click the icon in the lower right toolbar to bring up the console Right click the icon in the lower right toolbar for other options. Hope these help. Mikey

I learned when I was working in the computer field that you can write a program to do anything a human can do. So writing a program to bumping and play the games like we I knew was do able. I also learned at that time all you need is time and money. Sometimes plenty of TIME and MONEY. You could find someone with the brains ~ NOTE I didn't say I was the brain. I am sure some of you can make these macros do a lot more than you think. I am proud of all you have done to this point. Congrats to Fiona and Mikey for all your study and KARMA HUGS for sharing.

This is pure Genius!! Thank you Mikey for coming up with it, and all the others who helped. Thanks also to Big T who was on-line with me when I tried it, and let me know what I was doing wrong. Marilyn, if my computer-illiterate brain can figure this out, you can do it too.

Ok, I have to throw my 2 cents in here again. I was one of those who was shocked when I found out about Zipping, but have learned to live with that. The automatic bumping I think is a god-send. I guess if you make the same lo over and over, it's ok for making lo's too. But PLAYING? THat, I have a problem with. Aren't games made to be played, not have some machine do it for you? Where is the fun, personal satisfaction, feeling of accomplishment when it is automatically done for you? Obviously all you want is the points, with no regard to how you got them. Sorry Terry, but I'm not buying this one.

Ann! Nice to see you. As I said I think in one of my first posts on this subject it would bring controversy. I'm kinda with you that to allow the macro to do the bumping of the LOs for ya is no different that having another player bumping your layouts for you, but having the macro actually playing the LOs for the points could be crossing the line. But as I think I also said, it's all a game and in how the player wants to play it. So there WILL be those that most difinitely will think it is cheating even to allow it to do the bumping and even more will think the cheating line has been crossed if you are letting it do the playing for you as well. It's all in what the player is wanting to accomplish and how much of themselves is needed to be in the pride they will have or NOT have by reaching 90 stars using this method or not. All opinions are welcome on this. Keep in mind the forum guidelines and the one rule I will not allow to be broken, which is no personal attacks on any one person(s). This is a reminder for everyone reading this thread, not aimed at any one person. Love to all.

Hugs Barb Wow Barb, sorry to hear you lost yr player wile bumping with Axife - just wondering if you saved yr my file after yr crash & before re entering the game? I havnt hada crash as yet with it but i have had an instance of 1 of our furry family members clambering over me keyboard wile heading for her dinner & exiting the game altogether wile Axife was bumping - saved me my file then went back in but everything was still thr less the earlier bumped lo points as theyd been played. Problem easily solved - just bumped the remainder & split both the my files - im tempted now to crash it wile bumping to see if i get the same result - like you im pleased im into a good regular habit of saving me player folder Fi

One should never judge a book by its cover!! Firstly, all is NOT AS IT APPEARS!! 1. I use the Axife to make layouts, particularly those that are reptitive, like AXIFE and BORING layouts. 2. I use Axife to Share the layouts with others. Everybody can gain from this sharing. 3. I use Axifie to bump my layouts! Bumping is a blinking tedious task if ever there was one! 4. As a player I DO NOT USE AXIFE to play the game. *Terrence* has played all of his layouts himself. 5. The player AXIFE however, I am using as AN EXPERIMENT, purely to see how long it would take an automated piece of software to go through the ranks. Please understand, that the layouts have been made to a certain description to allow for automatic play with this "Player Name" In this instance, I am NOT the player, I merely set up the the software and IT PLAYS! Ann, I do take offense at the comment, "Obviously all you ...... got them. Nobody Ann is asking you to buy this one, or even that one!! I do very much care how I get the points in playing this game. I agree it is a game so lets leave it there. I am sorry you jumped to some unfortunate conclusions. Always better to read the book first, then look at the cover! tyvm *Terrence*

Well macro bumping is really taking off at the mo - its grt to see a few using it & testing it out I have been asked by 1 or 2 about emergency stop wile it is working Very easy to do - Open Axife & on the right hand side thrs an options button - clik on it Clik on the Hot Keys tab - clik on Add - (record will appear in the Actions box) Under the Action Type on the right is a drop down window - clik on it & clik on 'stop recording or playing' (Stop should now be appearing in the Action Window) Again on the right above the Action type - is a 'Key Combination' Box - clik on it & press & hold down Ctrl on yr keyboard (this will bring up Ctrl +) now clik on a keyboard key - Z is a good 1 as it dosnt interfere with other programme shortcuts as far as i know Yr shortcut shold look like this - CTRL + Z (if this is the letter yv chosen) clik ok Wenever you want to stop Axife in the middle of something ya hold down ctrl on yr keyboard & press the letter yv chosen & it will stop You can also set it up this way to start & to record - but choosing another letter for record wold be a good idea I have noticed since this auto bumping has made its appearance just how healthy the launch screen has been looking lately - its nice to see And i see its rattled a nerve or 2 - ok - my view is this as far as using Axife to play lo's - Personally i enjoy playing the los & i love the zipping - its grt having a wide variety of others los to play - i think id get pretty bored playing me own all the time - & for the time iv spent putting lo files together, changing them around here & thr for change & bumping thm - it gives me grt pleasure to be able to share them with others both online & zipping & sending emails with alot of fun in thm But regardles of wether you file share or not - of how often you play or not - or how you play or not - or how much fun or not you have - thr is only 1 result & it is exactly the same result for us all - & that is "POINTS" to get to 90* I hear what Terry is saying - i even larfed me a*** off wen i ran an Axife lo set of his with Axife this morning - but that is all he is saying - is that he has created "A" full lo set with Axife that can be played by Axife - it isnt about points & he hasnt stopped enjoying playing los manually & still plays - his Boring & H.O.C lo files havnt changed to accomodate Axife etha - in my view he is doing no one any harm by creating this file of los - he is not grabbing & playing off the launch screen that sssooooo many scream about coz they wont wait to play - he is not NOT sharing his los with everyone else - in fact he is sharing alot more than previously - so many are benefitting from those los & points - he is playing his own file with Axife - not everyone elses files too If auto playing an lo set is such a big deal then why are we bothering to create - share & bump for anyone who plays this game? After all arnt WE & havnt WE been the AUTO PILOTS for all those who grab & play as soon as an lo hits the launch screen - how many players have made it through this game from 0 - 90* & not had to bother doing anything else but play? I feel abusing grabbers is by far a bigger issue than playing "A" file with Axife Thrs enuff drama in this game as it is without trying to make this a part of it Just play & Enjoy!! As long as you getting to whr you wanna go in the game with the way you wanna play it - wot does it really matter - unless thrs a feeling of it threatening a position? An Absurd thought - but a thought all the same to all - Fi
