First off ... Marilyn I couldn't do that even if I WANTED to cause my puter is hooked up to the big screen, so can't do both at same time. Going to start taking Karma Hugs AWAY from you instead of giving them to ya ifin ya don't straighten up woman!
I couldn't resist either Marilyn
NOW on to Fi's problem ...
First off Fi, I caught the install on IE8 on my puter the next morning, so just did a system restore to get rid of it, then went into windows updates and *hid* the update so it wouldn't sneak in on me anymore. Sounds more to me like you very possibly have a virus or trojan on your puter, could even be malware. What are you running for virus protection? PLEASE tell me it's NOT the FREE AVG!! If so we need to move this convo over to the computer help section A.S.A.P. Run a disk clean up, then run the error-check on any hard-drives AND their partitions. IF you're NOT running FREE AVG and are using something else, check for updates and run a FULL SYSTEM SCAN. If this doesn't fix your problem we need to move this topic, so I can have you run a HijackThis and send me the file. But we'll worry about that IF this does not fix your problem.
Keep me informed sweetie and you have my email if you want to email me personally.
Fi
XOXOX Connie

I've been experiencing the same type of bumping issues with the MacroMaker program as well. I'm pretty sure that I gave it time to catch up, but I will try Connie's suggestion when it happens again. I wish I could say that the Internet Explorer 8 update was the cause as Fi suggested, and thank you very much by the way , but I haven't installed it yet. However, it's possible that the server did receive the update if it is running Windows, which could be the cause. Fi, if you're having issues with other programs, I would say that there's a very good chance that you're right. There have been several issues over the last few weeks with the MTE server that has lead me to believe that it's something going with it. Not only has it been the bumping thing, but sometimes the pages don't refresh, player points have been updating really slowly, etc... It's almost like it's overloaded, or that they need to do maintenance or cleaning or something. Just another possiblility though. Thanks to everyone who continues to reply and add to this thread, it's been very helpful and much appreciated. Hugs to all. Mikey p.s. - Connie snuck right in on me. I don't think that it's a virus, because everyone has been experiencing problems. AVG is free, but not as dependable as Panda, Norton, or McAfee in my own humble opinion. I don't use freeware virus scanners, especially after getting rid of all of the AOL junk that they automatically installed on one of my old systems. Did nothing for me except slow everything down.

Ok Mikey ... glad to hear you don't think it's a virus. I guess I'm one of the *lucky ones* that doesn't seem to be having any problems other than waiting for the server to *play catch up* when I bump. I mentioned that possibility because of the way she described things. Staples here has been getting numerous computers in for repair work for about the last 2 months due to a flaw in the free AVG. They don't know for sure what is going on with the program all of a sudden but cpu's are crashing left and right from it recently with each new update. I don't use the freeware either ... I'm a Norton's person.

Not sure about on your end, but on mine it was either right after I had launched several or right after I had played several layouts. I went in and dumped my temp files and that fixed it here. Not sure if mine was just a coincidence or if dumping the temp files actually DID fix it. If I get either of those errors again I'll make note of what I had just done and repost. Karma hugz to you sweetie

Hi Fi & Connie! I just got the Proboards error, I do get that one when I am "searching" the layout boards for a layout, I did not remember it until I just got it looking for a layout. Let me know if you have any more problems. I hope you do not, but if it kicks up, I'll be happy to log a request into proboards.

You're welcome, Fi. I did a search and all I could come up with was the trial version. So glad I remembered you also used Axife to bump. Thanks again for coming to my rescue.
