Terry, I apologize if I offended you. That certainly was not my intent. When I read your comments that you had made, shared, launched and played you lo's with Axife, I assumed you had done what you had said, and played them with axife. I was merely stating my opinion on the practice. I know not all will agree with me, but that's what makes the world go round, right?

I feel there is value to keeping this thread open to discuss this new discovery. As I stated above tho, I will NOT tolerate personal attacks on anyone in any thread anywhere in this forum. I'll lock this thread right down if it cannot be discussed without personal attacks and that's all there is to it. I cannot control what happens in the game, but I do have some say about what happens here. Nuf said, sit back, relax, have fun & treat all with respect while in this forum.

Whew. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I had no idea we would have gotten so much help and happiness out of a little thread. Fi, thank you so much for finding a more user friendly mouse recorder. I'm thinking about ditching the MacroMaker and buying the versions you all are using. Great big karma hug to you !! I have to say that I'm guilty of using a macro to play, but have decided to not use it for playing any more. There's so many different configurations, that it would be silly to try and make a macro for all of the layouts. Let alone remember the hot keys for each one, LOL. Instead of publishing my usual Sunday layouts, with a Macro Heaven layouts that are all the same, I'm going to create a few other sets that aren't the same layout every time. I guess that would be the key to keeping people from playing with a macro, just mix it up a little. Thanks again to all for your thoughts, and help. All in all, it has been a great success! Mikey p.s. - This is on another subject, but has anyone heard anything about the strange happenings with the server?

Uh..Ohh.. Vista Users Beware !! Use MacroMaker at your own risk !! I didn't do my homework on MacroMaker. Apparentely there are issues with the poeple that use the Vista operating system. The website has a faq page that clearly states that it hasn't been tested with Vista, and they don't plan on it. They go on to say that you have to mess around with the security settings to get it to work. I suppose that it's possible to make it work with Vista, but I wouldn't suggest that you monkey around with the security settings unless you really know what you're doing. I have several communications out to folks using the Axife program to see if anyone is using it with Vista, and the problems that they may have encountered...or not. My sincerest apologies for failing to communicate this until now folks. As new information trickles in, I'll be sure to pass it on. This is the official posting about the MacroMaker program that's on the main page of the site. MacroMaker has been tested on Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, 2003 and XP and should have no problem running on any 32 bit Microsoft Windows operating system. I don't see ME on here, so no gaurantees for that one either. However, I do think that I know the fix for that one if someone using ME is having problems. Mikey

Hi Mikey .... Sorry to hear you're having problems with the Macro version ... I've been using the Axife to bump and running Vista ... although the Axife home page(s) do not mention compatibility regarding any of the windows os, at least not that I have been able to find ... I have had no problems with it whatsoever other than attaching the *hot key* to stop it LOL ... Babs solved that problem for me. I accelerated mouse movements and increased playback speed to 1.5 ... I tried higher on the speed and it started hitting the *pause* button LOL so slowed it back down to 1.5. As my email already mentioned, but I'll mention again for those that still may be stuck on this one ... it tells you that you can assign hot keys to start/stop playback and/or recording but it doesn't tell you HOW ... I arrowed down to the start/stop playback and added that one then clicked in the box for the hot key sequence and hit Ctrl Z and it automatically tossed Crtl + Z in the box. Makes it so much easier when I hit a daily double when bumping now to be able to stop the darn thing LOL. Karma to Babs for that one Have a go with the Axife Mikey ... no probs at all with Vista

That's great news RC, thanks for replying to the thread. I'm running XP, so I wasn't the one having prolems with MacroMaker. It still remains a good option for anyone using an XP or older operating system. However, I'm not sure how Mac's run with it. Axife on the other hand works with Vista, and any other previous version of Windows which is awesome. I haven't heard anything from Mac users on Axife, but would be interested in that feedback as well. I may still try and find a freeware program that works with Vista. If anyone has any information on that subject, please post it here. Thanks again to everyone, and a big karma hug to you Rebel Cowgirl. Mikey

Hi Mikey, I have on my main PC Windows XP on my small laptop Vista. On both programs Axife runs without any problems. I bump the LO with 1.8 speed and play with the LO Speed 2.8. It's all wonderful. Thanks to you and dear greetings

I have to *go on record* here, just for my own satisfaction and state a few things. I do use Axife for bumping my lo's ... I use it for bumping AND bumping ONLY! EVERY layout I play is played MANUALLY.
I do NOT condemn ANYONE that chooses to use the macro for making layouts, bumping them AND playing them ... it is not MY place to judge on that, as BFG's ToS does NOT state the use of a macro is against their policy.
I hope I have not offended anyone with this post as that was NOT my intentions.

I recently received an email from another player regarding BFG not bumping all the layouts when Axife shows them to be bumped. I also ran into this problem and thought at first it had something to do with my settings, so I slowed the bumping process down, that did not resolve it. I would launch 50 layouts, bump them with Axife, then back out of the game and reload another 50 and continue. I noticed I had to go back and reload the original file and re-bump about one forth of them. I finally figured out what the heck was going on. So, for any others that might be running into this problem I thought I'd post the *info* I have found out. Scary thought huh
I can't speak for the macro version that Mikey and a few others may be using as I have not tried that program. So PLEASE NOTE this is ONLY regarding AXIFE BUMPING.
I have my settings set to playback at 2.5 speed plus I have the *mouse acceleration* box checked. I launch 50, then have Axife bump them. At this point, they are all showing 10,000 points in MY FILE, BUT if I look at the layout page only about 2/3rds of them seem to be *bumped*. If I DON'T back out of the game at this point, and instead sit and wait for about 30-60 SECONDS, then refresh the layout page, my layouts will show as bumped to 10,000 pts. My theory on this is that the BFG server must NOT be reading Axife's bumps as fast as Axife is bumping them. Therefore, if you back out of the game, the server WILL NOT still play *catch up*, BUT if you wait 30-60 seconds, then the BFG server *plays catch up*. Once I refresh the layout page and ALL of my layouts are showing bumped 10x THEN I'm safe to back out of the game and reload, etc. I hope this is making sense to any of those that might be seeing the same thing. If not, please feel free to message me and I will attempt to explain further.
And BTW ... Axife WILL also *renumber* your layouts for future launching as long as the LAST TWO NUMBERS DO NOT NEED TO BE CHANGED. I just got through having it re-number layouts from 701-2000
to all!!

Hello dear Connie, Thank you for your Detailed. Even for me it is so. If I had bumped 50 LO, I must wait until the list at all BigFish LO to 10,000 points can be displayed. Only then can you go from the game. Love greetings and hugs

Thank you Connie for pointing this out - what i find odd is it has only started doing this over the past couple of weeks that i know of, prior to this, launching with Axife wasnt a prob - tonight i launched 100 lo's & i stopped at 90 to check the launch screen - all had bumped up to no:76 & the next bumped lo appeared at no:90 - nos:77 thru to 89 hadnt appeared as bumped at all so i'm still inclined to think its a server prob - more so Internet Explorer than any other. The kids have also been having probs with other online games staying connected to the server - off the top of me head - Facebook farming is 1 of them - this has been causing some frustration as wen ya working on someone elses farm & the server disconnects it takes ya out of the farm ya working on - hope someone knows wot im talking about - i dont play it meself but my dorta & son are both hot on it at the mo & they winge in me ear about it!! - I do wonder if it has something to do with the launching of Internet Explorer 8 ?? This came down as an automatic download on me puter a couple of days ago - iv since tonight uninstalled it & run all me puter protection programmes - me puter started doing all sorts of bizarre stuff - eg: everything opening in individual folders & windows & if i tried dragging a file or folder on me desktop instead of moving it, it created a copy - was very strange. Anyone else had any probs as such with it?? Fi
