Someone help me out here ... see BT ur not the dummy I am Ok I understand when you're near 90* if you push it too much your player falls back to a newbie verses RLP, also remember the time it pushed Nana completely off the board. Here's what I DONT understand with BT's problem. He says his player is stuck at 89* ... how can that be if it pushed him over to a newbie? Shouldn't he have hit 90*'s FIRST THEN kicked down to newbie? How in tarnation do ya get kicked down to *newbie* and still not have hit 90* SOOO sorry for your loss BT ... here's hoping you can get it back via restore and a Karma for the frustration I can only imagine ur going thru. Hugs to all Connie

Connie I was thinking the same darn thing about BT's post, how was he showing up as a newbie at 89 stars. What I'm wondering is if he has clicked enough that he actually has 90 stars and with all the issues BFG is having with the server and fire (you KNOW if I had not gone on vacation I coulda saved em) ;D Kidding of course, but seriously, it does not make sense that at 89 stars he is being pushed to newbie. I hope BT posts once he has done the system restore, it really did work for Karen (Nana K) I don't think I'll ever forget that phone call as long as I live, I'm at work tellng my clients I have a crisis to handle and it's Karen on the phone falling off of the 90 star list. We laugh now cause she got back on, but at the time, we were not laughing til she got back on that list, then she felt bad for ending up as #1

Howdy gang, I just wanted to clear up a couple that Connie & Marilyn brought about. I play offline & when I hit 89* the points were pushed to get to 89*. I then went back offline & reloaded, then played enough to hit 90*, but I did'nt push the points at that time. I reloaded again & half way thru those lo's is when player changed to newbie. I thought when that happened, is when I actually hit 90*. So I continued to play remaining lo's & when I was done, tried to push the points, but to no avail. Could it be possible that I overplayed the points & the game cant reconize them Just a therory, but you never know. Also no luck with system restore yet, or changing the pointsmap, but I'll keep experimenting in hopes that something will work. Until then I guess I'll just keep on LOL Thx e1 4 all the insight, & if I can figure this mess out, I will certainly keep ya'll posted. Well, back to the drawing board

In all seriousness - im actually starting to wonder if we need to be checking the bytes in the pointsmap after each files points have been sent to the server - its no secret that thr have been some losses with the way the game is & points are no exception - 1 of the posts you wrote the other day Connie - the 1 bout the pointsmap staying the same until the 500s kicked in & the bytes in the pointsmap vanished - i'm still thinking along the lines of anything in the pointsmap being deleted/lost when that happens - People people people - especially Offline Players - The thing is you cant take any chances with yr player online - this is why its so important to use a copy of yr player to feed to the server & not yr actual player if yr playing offline - keeping yr playing player offline at all times is a must for now - use copys for sending the points - use copys for launching & save the my file - then delete the player folder when yr done - 1) Always Use A Fresh Copy Anytime You Go OnlineAlso - have just become aware that thr has been a player who has had error msgs since she has started deleting the pointsmap & reopening her game to create a new 1 Is anyone else out thr recieving any error messages? or have you at any point recieved an error msg after doing this? The pointsmap is replaced with the default pointsmap for the game - = 188bytes - Because of this - I suggest you replace yr pointsmaps with A COPY of the pointsmap from yr backup at all times - it is the pointsmap in your game that the server reads & pulls from - the default pointsmap may do more harm than good BT now i'm wondering if this is why yr player has suddenly stopped at 89* OR if the points hadnt been pulled by the server in relation to the amount of offline files played eg: a deleted pointsmap that maybe the points hadnt actually been pulled from the servers end - the rate this games going - anythings possible Fi

Thanx for replying BT .... it still don't add up tho. Not saying ur not stating the truthful facts about how you did it all ... it's the part of being OFFLINE and it kicked it back to a NEWBIE??? Then you went online and the pts didn't push ... none of that sounds like what SHOULD have happened. When MTE was offline all that time after the fire, I played offline and when I could get back online I pushed the pts and I had played lil over 6 stars offline so overplaying the points doesn't sound right with you stuck at 89*'s. The ONLY thing that would sound *right* to me was if you overplayed offline, went online to push pts. hit 90* then ur player kicked back to newbie ... this is a new one for me ... never known ANYONE to get kicked back to a newbie without overpushing 90* and if you did that you wouldn't be sitting at 89* I SOOO confused over this one don't know what to say to try BT HUGE Karma hug for ya and here's praying it gets sorted correctly. Connie MODIFIEDBT ... just an FYI for ya from here ... when I go to the stars list and click on your name it's still showing you as an RLP and NOT as a newbie ... lets hope this means something positive for ya

Fi --- in regards to the pointsmap ... can't respond to that issue as I refused to risk allowing the game to re-add the pointsmap. Instead I have a good clean working one that I keep zipped and just keep pulling it in when I delete mine verses allowing MTE to re-add it. I didn't feel comfortable with that option ... can't say why ... just a gut feelin I had so stuck with one of the copies of the good clean working ones I have. Hugs & glad to see you still aiming that gun at BFG Connie

Big T, I'm confused too. With my last player, I hit 89 stars, played about twenty my files offline, then went online to go to 90. I had read the posts and had been warned by a couple of other players not to over play because I would go back to Newbie. I wanted to go up the chart as far as possible that time, so the offline play was the way I was going to do that. I got 90 stars, did my TY launch, then started uploading the files, checking each time to see if I was still a RLP. I had uploaded the last one when a pop-up window appeared stating that I needed so many points before becoming a Newbie, about 800 I think. I decided not to chance going any farther. I don't understand how other players can go so far and not go back to Newbie. For instance, Alexandra recently knocked Seahorse out of second place. Fi, thanks for the info on the pointsmap. I've been letting the game create one with no problems from doing so, but will now go back to using one from a saved player. Big T, I'm really hoping you can get your player back and get things straightened out. Here's a karma hug for you.

I hear what ya saying Connie - this is how it looks - this next 1s the interesting 1 - Have just played the lo so you can see it - look at the ranks - there isnt 1 - theres no colour - iv played about 1/3 (maybe a little more)of the points to get to the rat - i'm guna take it there - but its an awful way to play - ya feel like ya clicking for nothing & it seems to take forever - ya basically starting from 1 & clicking to 90 again just to get to the rat - i play this 1 rarely but i do pick away at it

Ah ha Fi ... "I see said the blind man" to the deaf man who replied "I STILL don't LIKE IT " Thanx for the clarification Prof Still don't make sense that he's stuck at 89*'s tho ... I say he petitions BFG and if nothing else sends em his player folder and makes em fix it back right

Hi Big T, I see your problem and would like to help you. That is only if you also always a back up of your players have done.
So take the player back up before reaching Newbie. Then go on-line and always play with 10,000 LO. Make kb performed after each of your player back up again when you reach newbie, then take you back to the last back-up player in your game and play online games in the list of favorites that you've ever played. So while you'll get 0 Bunuspunkte, but the 210 points. Thus the difference of your game to the newbie as low as possible and you will automatically rise in the list of the 90 stars. Try it once, I've always done and I play under my name Giesela, seahorses and Luebbi. I've always managed to the highest peak to come. Dear greetings and good luck sorry my bad English

Hi BT If you back up is when you were at 85 stars, then yes, you will be starting at 85 stars again. At least that is the way it has been in the past. It appears the BFG fire has apparently changed the game in almost what appears to be un-repairable way. They log in here every few days to read these threads so it would be nice if they'd post an update for us all instead of just taking our info and saying nothing. So you have hope, you'll just need to re-click the points Back up your player file and zip and email and save to a jump drive with EVERY star, you can never have too many back ups, as you now know. Good luck and let us know how you do.
